PONTIAC -- Abby Eppel and John Rinker, both of Loves Park, exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony at 4 p.m. July 15, 2006, at Evelyn Chapel in Bloomington.
A reception at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington and a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, followed. Their parents are Mark and Penny Eppel and John and Janet Rinker, all of Pontiac. Attending the bride were Emily Smith, Katie Roach and Lindsey Runyon. Rylee Thomas was flower girl. Attending the bridegroom were Josh Rinker, Luke Aupperle and Luke Durbin. Andy, Luke and Max Eppel were ushers. Skyler Roach was ring bearer.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Illinois State University. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Keith School in Rockford. Her husband is a 2005 graduate of Illinois State University. He is a medical student at the University of Illinois Chicago in Rockford.
